AKG Media ("AKG," "we," "us," "our") is the controller of the personal data collected through akgmedia.co.uk (the "Site"). We're a UK-based influencer marketing agency working with AI and technology brands.

2. What this covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Site, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It doesn't cover data we collect outside the Site, for example through a signed client contract, which is handled separately.

3. Data we collect

What you give us directly

• Contact and enquiry details submitted through the Site's forms: name, email address, company, and the content of your message.
• Anything you send us if you email us directly.

What we collect automatically

• Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, time on page, and the site that referred you here.
• Cookie data. See our Cookie Policy.

We don't collect payment or financial information through the Site.

4. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• Responding to enquiries submitted via the contact form: Legitimate interests (running our business and answering people who contact us).
• Sending relevant updates to existing business contacts: Legitimate interests, in line with PECR's rules for business-to-business marketing.
• Sending any other marketing communications: Consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Understanding site traffic and improving the Site: Consent, for analytics or marketing cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
• Keeping the Site secure and working properly: Legitimate interests, necessary to provide the Site.

5. Who we share data with

We share data with a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract:

• Vercel, our hosting provider
• Forminit, our form management tool

We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers store or process data outside the UK and EEA, including in the US. Where that happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or standard contractual clauses to keep your data protected to UK standards.

7. How long we keep it

• Enquiry and contact form data: 24 months from your last contact with us, unless a client relationship begins, in which case it's kept under our standard client records retention.
• Analytics data: per the retention settings of whichever tool we use (typically 14 months by default for most providers).
• Server and security logs: typically 30 days.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to delete it
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Ask for your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

9. Visitors outside the UK

If you're contacting us from the EU, we handle your data to the same standard under EU GDPR. If you're in the US or elsewhere and local law gives you additional rights, for example under state privacy laws, those apply on top of, not instead of, what's set out here.

10. Children

The Site is aimed at businesses and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and update the date at the top. For material changes, we'll make that clear on the Site.
